Statement Cheeks: YSL Kiss & Blush

It is easy to fall into a beauty rut. You find the products that work for you and stick to them. That is fine, but it is always fun to experiment. Statement lips and eyes have been around, but statement cheeks? The new YSL Kiss & Blush for cheeks and lips came out recently and when I picked up the bright red shade, the makeup artist mentioned how refreshing it was for someone young to play with color. Everyone tends to go for neutrals, but being young is about having fun and playing with life. I think the same should be shown in makeup. 

This product lasts ALL day and gives such a natural flush (even though it is bright). It got mixed reviews online due to some saying it applied patchy. I think those people must not have had the Real Techniques Stippling brush, which makes applying this a breeze. I have been wearing this blush exclusively for weeks and I find it works for both natural and more dramatic nighttime looks. I also have worn it on the lips and it is a nice stain, although a bit drying.
